By combining our experience and high standards in escape room design with a completely new environment, and after years of dedicated work by the Fox in a Box expert team, Fox Hunt has finally seen the light of day — a specially created product that once again raises the bar and delivers new, unique experiences.
It’s no secret that similar products exist around the world. However, what truly sets Fox Hunt apart is the quality of the gameplay and its unique design, clearly recognizable through our signature escape room approach. As expected, the framework and theme of each game are built around a top-tier story, with players always being an active part of the mission and a shared goal. All tasks are carefully designed by the Fox in a Box expert team, with great attention to detail, and are always adapted to the theme and environment — never out of context in any way.
What Do You Need?
As always, teamwork, observation skills, logical thinking, and creativity are essential to successfully complete the mission. Mobile devices are used, but whenever possible they are combined with physical, real-world elements. In special team-building versions for larger groups, we also involve people as part of the game itself, encouraging interaction and elevating the overall experience to an even higher level.
Even bad weather is no longer an obstacle for outdoor gameplay. For example, we’ve had situations where teams were caught in sudden rain during a Fox Hunt city adventure. When we asked afterward whether the weather negatively affected their experience, the answer was a clear no — quite the opposite. Some teams stopped for ćevapi, others for drinks and coffee, while some simply waited under shelter until the rain passed. The background application intentionally does not track the time spent moving between locations or tasks, making it irrelevant for the final ranking. This feature is especially beneficial for players with mobility limitations, allowing them to participate fully and equally.

Fox in a Box vs Fox Hunt
When comparing the classic Fox in a Box escape room with the new Fox Hunt product, the advantage of a traditional escape room lies in its controlled environment and immersive atmosphere. However, with Fox Hunt, there are virtually no limitations — not in space, number of participants, time, or task variety. Flexibility is the key advantage. At the same time, we always choose inspiring environments, ensuring that the overall experience remains just as impactful. Another distinctive feature — and challenge — of Fox Hunt is that players play independently: solving tasks, finding hints, and choosing their own routes. Everything is supported through a web application on their mobile devices. For those who enjoy competition, scoring is fully automated and completely transparent.
Where We Play
Currently, two games are available in Sarajevo — Operation F.A.S.T. and Mission: Sarajevo — with games for Mostar and Banja Luka in preparation. We already have games designed for Vrelo Bosne and Skakavac Waterfall, and additional projects are planned for resorts, ethno-villages, and other well-known recreational locations.
For those who want to experience a city in an unusual way, we highly recommend Mission: Sarajevo. In this Fox Hunt adventure, players also have access to an interactive tourist guide that leads them through the city’s most famous landmarks.
We’d also like to emphasize that playing in a familiar location is never a disadvantage. Even for locals, the Sarajevo game offers a completely new perspective on well-known places and concepts in Baščaršija, Ferhadija, At-Mejdan Park, and more — revealing hidden meanings and unknown messages along the way.
Games for Individual Groups
During September, Fox in a Box will premiere this product on our website, making it available for booking for individual groups seeking new challenges. We’re targeting those who have already played one of our escape rooms, as well as tourists who want to explore a city or destination in an innovative and interactive way. We’ve also received inquiries from school excursions and other organized student groups. In short, anyone looking for a new experience — those who enjoy being active, exploring new locations, or seeing familiar places from a completely new, out-of-the-box perspective — is more than welcome.
Team-Building Option
Since spring, we’ve been intensively testing and improving all functionalities. Some of our partners have already had the opportunity to play Fox Hunt as part of their team-building activities in Sarajevo and its surroundings. Individual tasks can be customized to specific client needs, such as promoting a company or association, a product, a slogan, and more.
By combining Fox Hunt with our mobile games, we can also create more complex team-building challenges. For example, at a recent team-building event for one of our clients in the protected Skakavac Nature Park near Sarajevo, we designed two parallel treasure hunts. One group searched for treasure outdoors in nature, while the other found it through the Braganza game — inside mystery-filled chests containing the treasure. Another example took place at a large hotel near Sarajevo, where we organized a combined secret-agent test that included an indoor Fox Hunt variant (players moved through hotel floors scanning QR codes and solving tasks) and The Final Exam game in a conference hall.
